Support why an android have two license, Apache2.0 and GNU GPL?

    Since Apache 2.0 license is permissible in Android OS and, GNUGPL is bit restrictive, how it fitts in android??

    GPL stipulates you can modify and distribute but modifications have to be cited and available to the recipient, to protect the original source.

    Actually the components of the Android OS are covered by many licences, such as GPL, lesser GPL, BSD, Apache, MIT, etc. You can read them all in, About device > Legal information > Open source licenses. :thumbsupdroid:
