I am having major issues with my DROID2. Everytime I try to input text (in a text message, email, internet browser, ANYWHERE), 3 things happen:
    1. The touch screen keyboard does not work. Everytime I hit the spacebar, the keyboard disappears.
    2. If I open the phone to use the regular keyboard, the phone freezes.
    3. Half the time, I cannot see the text that is being input.

This is incredibly inconvenient!! What the hell is going on?

I had similar problems with my keyboard freezing up and had to reset it...

    Here's what I did:

    Settings
    Manage Applications
    All
    Multi-touch Keyboard
Clear Data-that will bring up a message about "all of the application's data...etc" just hit ok.

I haven't noticed any issues with my keyboard since...hopefully that helps.

I had the same problem with my Droid 2 Global. After some troubleshooting I found that the ""Next word prediction" setting was the culprit. Turning off this feature (aka unchecking it) resolved my issue, which was the same as the issue described in this thread. In the Droid 2 Global this feature is found under Settings --> Language & keyboard --> Multi-touch keyboard.

I hope this helps. Please post back your results.
