Does anyone else have issues with push notifications (gmail, facebook, etc) on their Nexus 4's?

I do. Most of the time when emails come through, they come through slower than they do when viewing on my computer - they also show up in batches. I have never had that problem with my Droid Incredible and Droid Incredible 2 - both of which were lightning fast and immediate.

The problem is further exacerbated by the fact that I just purchased a Nexus 7 and that, too, is fast and immediate with push notifications. It's really quite annoying and sometimes when I have sent a message from my N4, it sits in the outbox for a period of time.

My phone is my lifeline to my business and I deal with a lot of time-sensitive issues.

    Any help or thoughts?

Have to say, my push notifications are instant. Don't know what the problem could be. Are you on custom ROM etc?

Totally stock. And it doesn't matter if I am on wifi or not - still happens.

I think I'm seeing something similar after the most recent update (4.3).

Mine has been getting worse and worse. This is a known issue on 4.2.2 and on the OTA update of 4.3 (but not the JSS15J build). I believe it is fixed in many ROMs but I could be wrong.

No, not really. Google knows about it but are not planning on pushing out the JSS15J build. There are AOSP ROMs out there based off the JSS15J build. Flashing one of those will solve your issue.
