why are some contacts deleting when syncing????

i have been noticing some contacts just disappeared. makes no sense. i sync with htc software and my outlook for contacts and calendar.

Double check your sync settings. I dont use the sync software but i do remember seeing a couple options that might be causing your sync problems.

Make sure the priority is for the Hero, or what I mean is that any changes to the HERO contacts take precedence over what is on the PC. I'm pretty sure there is a setting in it to make it happen. You might have it reversed...

Also note that delete seems not to honor the priority settings. I have selected choose PC only. Still if I delete a contact from the phone it will get deleted from the PC as well. (Found this out when I was trying to clean up a different problem with HTC Sync--Dates do not necessarily come across correctly.)
