General Why cant i play this video?

    Im downloading the new series of brothers and sisters to watch on my phone but i cant play it back. what type of video file does it have to be

    this is the name of what ive downloaded

    Brothers.and.Sisters.S05E02.HDTV.XviD-LOL



    do i have to convert?? Its a .avi file at the moment

    It's not that important which container was used (.avi, .mp4, .wmv, .mpg,...). What's more important, is which codec they used (x264, xvix, divx, wmv, mpeg,...).

    Anyway, try different players from the market, one of them should be able to play it. Try VPlayer and RockPlayer

    do i have to add it via double twist. or can i just drag and drop it into the video file i made in the media folder??

    I always convert my video to mp4. LOL.. just use stock video player is good enough for me.

    rockplayer works super. thanks so much guys!! im soooo much preferring dragging and droppin stuff compared to itunes!!

    how do you download programmes onto dhd,I've tried on sites but don't know how?

    Why don't you use the market for download apps (=programmes).
    The market app is installed on your phone :)
