Help Why does my battery run out without me even using the phone?

My phone's battery runs out everyday and most of the time I don't even use it.
I have not active apps and I don't even use a live wallpaper, just a normal one.

What is wrong?

Have u tried using a task killer to auto kill the applications. This could save a lot of battery.

I know in some areas they get a lot of switching between cell towers, is it less sometimes when you are away from your "normal" places?

last night when i when to sleep my battery was 45% full,
and in the morning the phone was off. unbelievable.

Have you recently updated to 2.3 ? The reason I ask is that my friends got the 2.3 update recently & the battery started draining rapidly eventhough there were no apps running in the background & Data,GPS,bluetooth & wifi switched off.

I had that after upgrading. Full factory reset and the battery life is now marvelous.

yeah hard reset is the key here, i do hard reset in every 2 weeks.

Factory reset is also called data wipe.

Go to settings and check battery info. If android os is taking is huge chunk of battery, then we have a problem.

Also, turn of your 3G when not using your phone. It saves A LOT of battery.

I found this item which helps me a lot when my battery runs out. It charges my phone at least 4 times which is amazing!
It called Portable Phone Charger which could charge my phone anywhere, anytime
I got it from Epower Electronics which I would recommend
