Help why does my blue tooth and wifi suck?

seems like my wifi at home will drop...a lot. i have to keep turning on and off the wifi on the hero.

i have a D link DI 624. i read about changing the router from b to g or something like that, but never saw the option on the router homepage.

also, the blue tooth will just drop connection to my motorola ear piece. wondering if the hero is known for this or maybe its the ear piece itself...?
