So randomly checking data usage for playing a few hours worth of music here's what happened.

I played Pandora for about 2 hours listening to music.

Then I decided to listen to Slacker Radio and listened to it for about 45 minutes then I checked the data.

This is a brand new phone. Only had it 6 hours.

Look at how much data slacker radio used in 45 minutes compared to Pandora.

Yes I'm on WiFi.

Why does Slacker radio us so much more?

1) Some music just takes more data to represent it.

2) Pandora may be using lossy compression, which cuts the data a lot, while sacrificing quality.

That may be it. Though I haven't noticed much of a quality difference.

I know I won't be using Slacker when I'm on my 3G. Because when I listen. It's for like hours at a time. And that would be a lot of data.
