I have uninstalled afew apps, including ChatOnV but they keep 'updating' pretty much every day.
Is there something wrong with my phone or am I not understanding why they do this even though I uninstalled to factory version (only option), force stop etc..
    Thanks

You have to set the Play Store to manually update. Otherwise it's going to continually update. This doesn't always work though.

The only true way to stop it from updating is to root the phone and completely uninstall the app.

I am not familiar with ChatOnV, but generally If your phone has Android 4.0+ installed (if I remember correctly), there is an option to disable every application, even the one that was pre-installed on your phone.
Try going to Settings -> Apps, find your app and press "Disable" button (you may have to uninstall all updates first - there will be a button for this too).
