It has better specs yet the nexus 7 2 seems to have higher benchmark scores

Quad-cores usually benchmark higher than dual-cores despite real-world performance not showing much benefit on Android devices since only a handful apps can take advantage of it. Also, its pushing 2x the pixels (4 megapixel screen vs 2)

The Qualcomm CPU's are just monsters, very quick. The new Nexus 10 will most likely have a Snapdragon 801.

Snide comments add absolutely nothing to the conversation and frankly shows off your intelligence. There will be a replacement for the Nexus 10, even if it comes in the form of a 8.9" tablet.

I would consider a HTC made Nexus 9

An 8.9 would be nice at the same resolution. I would not be interested in a low resolution tablet after having the 10.
