Hi, I just got my Droid Friday evening. I have used GMail for ages, so my contacts were automatically imported, kewlness.

When I compose an SMS (green dude on screen), why doesn't it auto complete the addy for me for a contact that has only one entry in my address book?

I hope it's just that I'm doing something wrong.

unfortunately, you're not. If you want to search for the contact, after opening the SMS app, you can press the Search key to search, or else you can click the + button on the app to manually find and mark your contact (or multiple contacts).

One of our minor gripes with the app.

Just found out in another thread here that the number you're texting has to be classified as a MOBILE number to appear there in the auto fill feature.

    :)
