Service is very poor now and noticed it went from 3g to 1x

Have you tried updating your profile on your phone?
Have you contacted your carrier because there could be an issue with the towers in your area.
Is there an option to turn 3g on and off on your phone? Maybe it got turned off.
It would be nice if you could describe what you have tried to do yourself to troubleshoot this issue.
