Why Limited to 2GB App Storage?

I was curious as to why t he Skyrocket is limited to only 2 Gig App storage? I asked this question a while back on another forum and got flamed with only one response that said I didn't need more than that. Was just wondering. I like it that my Transformer Prime doesn't limit app installs.
