Android Question

Guest
My friend has a Galaxy Tab 3 256GB, but when we connect it to the computer, it says the capacity is only 1.38GB.

How can we get to the rest of the memory?

Thanks!

Kyle

What are you looking at when you get that 1.38? Internal storage, External storage or RAM? 1.38 could be the available RAM or it could be the available space on a 2GB SD card.

Thanks for the reply!

When we look with the computer, it only says Internal Storage which has a capacity of 1.38GB. There are no other choices that I can see.

Does the GT have 256GB or is this just the maximum capacity with a SD card? There is no SD card in the unit. I thought it had this built in..

Take care -

Hi

The largest sd card is 64gb. Tab3 usually has 8 or 16gb of storage + sd card (depends which tab3). No similar device has 256gb that i know of. (Other than notebooks etc)

Suggest you install app called android system information by Electric Sheep from playstore to have a look at what is there.

So, I guess the question would be why is it called a Galaxy Tab 3 256GB? It says it on the unit. I'm confused.. And we could only see the 1.38GB Internal Storage. Nothing else - No 8 or 16..

Confused..

Hi

When I said 8 or 16gb I was thinking of the Samsung Tab3. Your friends Tab3 is I suspect a Chinese (or similar) imitation with a fairly low spec. It is called 256gb just to entice unwary buyers..Hopefully he/she didnt pay too much.
