Hi wizards. Mostly, I use my Galaxy s5 for sending texts, but found out recently that a call from a caller stored in my Contacts could not answered. I pressed the green telephone icon repeatedly, but it simply would not answer. This caller kept on ringing from time to time, and the same thing happened. Since then, I have made experimental calls to my smartphone from my own landline (the number is also stored in my Contacts), without success. The strange thing is that I am able to make outgoing calls with no difficulty.
In my settings, unknown caller rejection is turned off (in any case, my own landline is not unknown). I have cleared the cache and cleared data in the Phone app (there are two of these apps on my phone, by the way, but I cleared cache and data on both), after booting into Recovery Mode. Also, I cleaned the SIM card and re-started. Still no joy.
Later, I found a setting that allows me to answer calls by pressing the Home Key, and this works. However, I should like to be able just to press the green telephone icon, and answer in that way — it's more natural. Why does this not work, and what else might be done, to make it work?
With thanks in advance, for a helpful reply,
