Why would all Google services be unavailable most of the time?

    Hello clever people / droids.

So this is a bit of a strange problem. Using a Samsung Galaxy Apollo (i5800) on 3G through Three UK.

Lately (last couple of weeks) MOST of the time, Google operated services and websites are not accessible. That means google, youtube, blogspot, android market, gmail etc. Everything else, all other sites, work fine. Very occasionally now google stuff will be available.

I've done a full factory reset but it hasn't helped with this. In fact it seems to be getting progressively worse. I've spoken to the network and of course they say there is no problem.

The error messages have actually changed - in the Android browser if I try to pull up google.com it now says "The server failed to communicate. Try Again later." Attempting to search in the YouTube app results in "java.net.SocketException: The connection was reset"

I'm now reluctant to try another reset as I'm not confident I'll be able to get back to the market at all to install any apps.

    Wth? Any ideas?

    Thanks.
