Wi-Fi calling

Does the 3g slide have wi-fi calling?

Bro wants as mytouch 4g(i dont want to buy it for him....he DEF does not need a FFC)

and i would get the motorola cliq 2 but if he ever had an issue, i'd like for their to be a decent size community to ask for help from and the cliq 2 forums is nearly dead....

So i was wondering does this have wi-fi calling?
I've seen conflicting stories.

T-mobile's website says it does have it(no phone left behind)
but on another site, users are still waiting for both froyo and wi-fi calling

any help?
Hopefully, i'll get some help before mid afternoon so i can get the 3g slide for free if possible!

The slide does not have wifi calling yet, but will if the 2.2 update, that exists in at least two versions, ever gets sent out by tmo. If you root and flash a custom rom you can use wifi calling if the rom supports it (e.g. Cyanogenmod or one of the leaked 2.2 espresso/mytouch slide update roms).

Remember, WiFi calling still counts towards yr plan minutes. It is a tool to use if you have trouble with signal in areas without coverage.

ROFLMAO!!!! You have to have cell signal so the WIFI can "register" you onto the Tmobile network. Guess what, if you do not have a cell signal, NO WIFI for YOU!!!

Brilliant T-Mobile way to prove you have no business in this market!
