Coming from an iphone, i miss being able to double click the home button and swipe over to get music player controls and then volume up/down slider.

The volume rocker on my Rezound doesn't stick out far and with the silicone case, the buttons are even more difficult to press. I have Audio Manager Pro, so I can access media volume that way.

However, I'm wondering if there's an actual volume slider widget that's available?

Hold down the home button to show recently used apps then just click the music app and adjust your volume. Then just do the same to go back to the app you were using.

That's part of the problem, I have tried winamp, google music and the HTC music player and none have a volume slider in the app. Am I missing it somewhere? It seems the only way to control media volume is either through the settings menu which is inconvenient, through the audio manager app or with the volume rocker (which is hard to press).

Checkout Widgetsoid. You can custom build a widget bar. While I don't think you can have a volume slider, you can push a button and it will bring up the volume control panel.

I just checked and Extended Controls has a volume slider controls within their widgets.

In addition, you can also set this widget to be easily accessed via the notification drop-down.

You can try some of these apps:

    https://market.android.com/details?...251bGwsMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLmNiLnZvbHVtZVBsdXMiXQ..

    https://market.android.com/details?id=ca.xvx.volume&hl=en

I can also confirm that PlayerPro has a volume control at the top of the "now playing" screen when using the default skin. It's also easy to access the volume in PowerAmp. I would recommend switching to one of these two players regardless, as they offer a significant improvement in sound quality over the stock/free apps.

"Volume Control Widget" was exactly what I wanted. Thanks UssjTrunks
