There is already a lot of Calender widgets built into the phone, they are more than adequate for the job, imho.

A good Battery monitor widget I use is 'Battery Watcher' from the app market, its also free.

Talking of widgets, I'm new both to the Samsung Galaxy and Android and was wondering if there was a specific 'widget only' app store, or a way I can search JUST for widgets?

I went to Android market last night and searched for 'news widgets' but all that came back were apps. A BBC News one said it was a widget, but when I downloaded and clicked on it, it was just an app!

Also, how do you get widgets back that you've got rid of?

i need a calendar widget, i can only get a shortcut to the calendar at the moment, i need a widget that will display my upcoming meetings/events immediately.

    getting widgets back are easy.

just long press on a empty are of the screen, select widgets and choose from the list.

For battery widget I like Battstatt (I have the pro version).

For calender widget I really like the one in LauncherPro Plus, the "Pure Widget" series is also good if you don't want to use a different launcher.

I was looking for a full screen facebook widget for my son the other day and had the exact same issue.

Searching is terrible on the app market - so much easier on the Apple app store (although finding widgets on there is just as difficult ;)).

The lunatics are running the asylum a bit on the android store.
