    Hi,

I have a really weird issue with 20 Moto Gs connecting to the office WiFi. We have a Ubiquiti Networks UniFi setup which is giving out 2 SSIDs, private and guest.

The issue is that our Moto Gs are having real issues connecting to it. Sometimes they cannot connect to either SSID, sometimes only Guest, sometimes only private. Every other device on the network can use the WiFi with no issues; iPhones, iPads & variety of laptops .... only the Moto Gs are having the problem. We select the SSID, enter the password and get a message "failed to connect to network".

I have tried reconfiguring the WiFi (taking out special characters & spaces in the SSID, changing the encryption to WPA2/AES only, changing passkey to all lower case, changing channels on the access points). However, nothing seems to get the Moto Gs working consistently. What I am finding really frustrating is that sometimes I can get them to connect, other times I cannot.

I'm thinking this has got to be an issue with the Moto Gs as everything else connects 1st time with absolutely no issues!.

BTW The phones are running 4.4.2

Any help is very much appreciated!

Even with a the password as lowercase, try entering as upper case on the Moto G.

I have exactly the same issue with my Moto G (also 4.4.2). I am trying to broadcast two SSIDs in my home, and the Moto G is having a hard time with it. sometimes it connects to one, sometimes both, but usually none. It's frustrating to say the least :/
When it doesn't connect, comes up with the message "failed to connect to network".
My router is configured correctly - i am able to connect to both SSIDs from my laptop and from my motorola droid on 4.0.4.
    uppercase/lowercase made no difference.

Change security to wpa2/wpa. If that doesn't works try another security.
    That should do the job..
Ssid or password don't really matter.

    Hey venkman182,

Did you contact Motorola Support for this? That sounds really weird, might be a bug.
Were the phones reset after the update to Kitkat?

Did you try third party apps such as WIFI ruler in case that some phones cannot be reset?

    Cheers,
    Nicole
