Can anyone tell me any negatives or downsides to doing this?
I have 2 smart phones and my usb broadband through verizon.
the phones are droid razr m, and droid razr maxx hd.
i could save $80 a month if i cancel the usb broadband on my destop computer, and then i could just use foxfi on my smart phones to set a hot spot for the desktop to pick up wifi.
Is this a good idea or is there any issues making this less desireable? thanks for any help

Sorry, missed that in OP.

The Verizon Hotspot app works now without additional fees. But FoxFi is fine if you like it.

You will need to keep the phone on a charger while using it as a hot spot, because this sucks battery.

What?? I just tried to turn on the Mobile Hotspot app and it checked my subscription and then wouldn't start. Are you saying I should just be able to use it now?
