Hi, On my samsung vibrant (froyo tmobile) I use the quick settings app and can:
a) Turn on the hotspot feature.
b) Connect to the hotspot and tether my laptop through wireless and through usb for free.
c) Browse the web.
On my samsung blaze (gingerbread tmobile) I use the quick settings app and can:
a) Turn on the hotspot feature.
b) Connect to the hotspot and tether my laptop through wireless and through usb BUT I cannot browse the web. I get a prompt on the web browser that I need to add the hot spot wireless service to my account.
Why did it work for free on my vibrant with froyo but with the Blaze and gingerbread I have to sign up for the hotspot service?
Can I still use the hotspot service with another app without having to sign up for the hotspot service?
