nope...not a connectivity concern. read all about those and have my local concerns band-aided (until they offer a genuine fix!)

the question at hand concerns range. i'm an IT geek and run an avaya (proxim) enterprise-class dual radio AP in my house. the .11g radio is connected to an external omnidirectional booster antenna that provides enough signal for my laptop to connect solidly anywhere in the house/deck.

the X? not so much. i'd say less than half the usable range of a laptop. what gives? poor wifi stack? just the realities of a low power radio and small antenna? might i expect any improvement via OTA updates (froyo or otherwise)?

i hate to have to buy another AP, but i hate having to be right on top of my existing AP even more...
