I just bought my Samsung Infuse yesterday and have noticed a problem with the WiFi. For some reason, although I am getting a 5 bar wireless signal on any other device, I'm only getting about 2 bars. When I put it right near the router, it will be 5 bars. But if I am in my room, it is only 2 bars. 5 bar signal on both the laptop and Ipod touch. Can anybody assist?

This person is also experiencing my issue.

I am experiencing similar issues at home, but not with just the Infuse. My laptop, our pad 1 and my iphone 3 gs all worked well with my home wifi . However, the atrix, the pad 2 and the Infuse don't. They are all the newer devices and need to be closer to the router. I don't know why. The Infuse is doing great with the airplane wifi now.

These meters are just a relative indicator & you can't compare them to each other. Truth be told 2 bars on say your Infuse could be stronger than 5 bars on a ipod etc... It just depends on how many DB the meter is calibrated to reach a certain level.

Loving my Infuse still. But I can be next to my router and still get no bars or 1 bar. I try not to worry about it too much. But I have noticed it also.

I think I'm due for a new router anyway.

I won't hold my breath for a fix.

Yeah...i am taking mine back this weekend.

Battery life is awful compared to our other devices
headphones jack is low low volume
gps Bluetooth and wifi rarely work
    phone overheating and shutting off

    sucks....
I love the screen and the external speaker oh and the external
    accelerometer works really well
