I recently got the Galaxy S4 (upgrading from Note 2). One of the main reasons I decided to upgrade is that it supported 802.11ac. I use Remote Desktop a lot over wifi, and figured I'd get better performance using it. So then I went out and bought the highest rated/best reviews/speed, etc 802.11ac router (Asus). For my PC, my connection speed reports as around 96Mbps. However, over wifi, it's just under 20Mbps (the same as it was with my old phone and router). I do have it using the 5ghz. What gives? The router is supposed to be faster than an actual gigabit wired connection (not that my Internet can go that fast, but just saying...).
