Is there a way to prevent the WiFi from turning off after it goes the display times out? I lose internet connection (almost) every time and I have to go into Wireless settings and "Enable" it again.

I have a password for my internet, is that why it turns off when I leave it idle for a minute or two?

No a password on your router would not cause this my friend. I have a password on my router and do not have issues. Once the phone is waken up again, after a few seconds, your wifi symbol should return. I understand this can be annoying when downloading something.

I recommend going on the android market and downloading the free application called Wi-Fi Keep Alive. This will prevent your problem from happening.

Just go into settings> wireless & network> wifi settings> push menu button> advanced> wifi sleep policy

This would be more ideal and easier. That's one screen I never knew existed.

    :) no idea...

I only recommend the Wi-Fi Stay Alive because I use insomnia for my touch. I don't think the ipads and ipod touches have a setting like our phone does.

That is the PW he has set on his router. Get the PW from him, and enter it when it asks for it, and then you can go on his wifi
