On the LG Marquee (boost).I used wifi tether 3.1 beta 11. Change device profile to Samsung Galaxy S (don't know why but it works) Change Setup-Method to Softap (master). Make sure wifi-driver reload is checked. Thats it. Got my laptop, kindle fire, and htc thunderbolt tethered all at the same time. I also enabled access control so no one leeches my wifi without my permission.
I still got an error but still works fine. The only problem i found was I cant turn it off without rebooting phone? It shows that its not tethering from phone but still tethers my devices unless I reboot phone. Still worth it.
