Anyone know of a decent WiFi tether app for our Boost Mobile Prevail? I used to have one that worked excellent months ago. Then wiped my phone and everything several times and now I can't find a working WiFi tether app now.

Ill 4th and 5th that since my lady and I both use it. Im actually using it right now its my only internet connection for the time being and works great. My speeds arent bad either I can watch video and pages load pretty snappy for being tethered 3g!!
Edit: just noticed I misspelled tether in my title lol to my defense I just got off an 11hr night shift :O

I use wifi tether for root user for my sole internet connection, too. If I had a more than one bar at home it would work allot faster, signal is a big issue for me. Netflix works OK at home, but Hulu and Crackle lag allot. As far as web browsing it works great. I think some of my issues with streaming has allot to due with the cheap modem that comes in Samsung SmartTV's.

Thanks guys. Wireless tether is what i'be used for awhile, but the problem I seem to have is I can't connect my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 to my Droid. Anything windows computer wise is fine...the Tab doesn't even pick up on the Tab though. Any ideas?

Wifi tether for root user must be configured this way:
open wifi app
settings, change device profile to galaxy indulge
click back one to change setup method to "softtap"
I usually reboot. But not required.

That's true for the prevail... But he is trying to connect his galaxy tab to his Droid...

Thank you! I rooted and downloaded wifi tether for root users app...it sucked with my phone and connecting to my iPad or my bf's iPhone. But barnacle is really good.
Is there a rule for how long we can(should) tether without raising suspicion? I use it for eBay rummy an Netflix ? Thanks

. Fast forward to this morning after using Wi-Fi tethering for about an hour last night, barnacle stopped working. I had to uninstall and reinstall it. Gave me error codes wifi cold not set adhoc mode of eth0:Invalid argument stopped unexpectedly.
I reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine for now. Just wondering if I have to un/reinstall every time. Although his time I did click the "associate" button. We'll see.

If you are surfing or looking up info no problem. But when downloading music, movies and big data stuff, then they might look at you. Just depends on them I guess!
