WiFi tethering - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze

I use UNLOCKED Samsung Galaxy S Blaze on T-Mobile network. I can use tethering (without any other app) on my old T-Mobile Comet phone. But using the same simcard, tethering doesn't work on this Samsung Galaxy S Blaze phone.

Is there any way I can unlock tethering on my phone without paying $15/mo to T-Mobile?

or, is there a good free app that allows WiFi tethering without any data restrictions?

Someone suggested disabling the tethering provision app in an S2 forum. It seems to work for me.
