Try PushDoc. it allows multiple files/folders transfer, it's free and it has many other cool features like drag and drop of articles directly from web browser to the phone.
es file explorer. icon: blue folder with green globe with ES letters in.
username is the name at top of start menu on pc and your password if you use one to log into windows if not click anonymous.
you must have atleast 1 folder shared on your pc
Once set up, with an app running in your PC, I've found nothing easier than Tonido. Works on 3G also, of course. Your PC has its own URL, like johndoe@tonidoid.com. I can be at a restaurant talking with people, and have need for some document, and just download it to my phone. Works PC-to-PC as well.
Here's the Tonido website, where they call it your personal cloud. If you don't like leaving your PC running all the time, they sell a NAS device for $99, into which you can plug in a hard drive(s) with data you might need when on the run.
Heard about this on the FLOSS (Free Libre Open Source Software) podcast.
Do i need a wifi router to use ES file explorer or does the wifi in my laptop be enough to transfer files?? How do i make a connection between my lappy and my android HP Toucpad?? :hmmmm:
I haven't read this whole thread, but has Dropbox been mentioned for transferring photos? It can be set up to automatically upload photos you take and they will appear in the Dropbox folder on your PC.
There's also My Phone Explorer, which can be used with USB, if you don't have a LAN set up.
Can you setup a share on the pc and just mount it as a directory from the fs? It's how'd I do it under linux.. but I'm new to the droid.. and I'm not sure fstab is being used in the same way on the phones.
If you're referring to MPE, once connected, you can explore the contents of the phone's memory (sdcard) and the removable disc (sdcard2) from MPE's GUI, and drag and drop files to and from, in my case, Windows Explorer. It doesn't show you the root partition, however.
