I usually keep my wifi turned off, unless I am at home or another network and need to use it.
But i've noticed recently that I'll be doing something else on the phone and then I get the notification about "open wifi networks are available" (or simillar wording)
When I go to look at the power saving widget the wifi icon has a dark green (like when its trying to connect) or sometimes its completely black yet the notification menu is still telling me theres wifi avaiable.
when I look into full menu of the app "Quick Settings" this shows wifi status is "unknown" not "turned off"
is it possible that some application I have is trying to force the wifi on?
