I have enabled wifi and gps on my wildfire but despite this it is still not recognising my location.

It is still 200 miles away, 1 week later!

    What else can you suggest?

    TIA if you can help!

Install from the market, the app called "GPS Status" or "GPS Essentials".

Both apps have the capability of showing satellites used for GPS fix. Check whether any satellites are showing up.

If no, then go out in the sun and try again. You need sky to be visible "people say".

If yes then, use "GPS Status" app, go to "Tools">"Manage A-GPS State"..
then do a "Reset" first and then a "Download" data.

Now go stand in out in the sun , restart GPS, network and try again. Should work.
