Why.... because I find it mildly annoying that people think the release of 2.x is going to be a life changing event???

To those who will really value it, they know enough about their phone to join a forum and learn more. To those that don't give two hoots, it's "ignorance is bliss" and they'll be mildly surprised with the update.

I actually agree with that and said so on another thread. I have too much going on in my life to worry about a phone update. If it happens, it happens and I go on with my life as is.

I find it mildly amusing when somebody is annoyed by something so much that they feel the need to post about it on a message board and continue the conversation that annoys them so much. but just mildly

not really? Usually, when i'm annoyed with something i don't remain involved with said thing. Butm when i am amused by something i usually wish for whatever amused me to continue. So, thank you for contributing to my amusement. :D

Now, do you see how THAT works?

I'm much more looking forward to the phone being rooted than getting a 2.x update. Although turn by turn navigation would be nice.

Turn by turn and speech to text are the two major conveniences I would enjoy most.

Thank you for proving my point with no effort on my part.

    Ooh! Zing! lol

How good is the speech to text? I've always loved the idea, but have never had a good experience with it. Always turns into more of a hassle then it's worth. But, it's been a while.

I fully expect 2.1 to make my life the very definition of perfection. If it doesn't, I will start no less than 500 threads complaining about it and probably file a lawsuit in a law suite while wearing a law suit against Google, Verizon, HTC, the makers of Eclipse gum, Taco Bell, the power company and yo mama.:p
