Help Will a fast SDHC speed up Avid?

Hi I have an old slow 8gb SDHC. I run a lot of apps off card.
Phone has gotten slower as it fills up.

I heard newer fast SDHC may speed up things up.
I already used sdtools to optimize cache, etc.

Call me whatever but I used to defrag my SD on my G2 and it would always speed things up... ZTE Windows 7 mount doesn't allow native filesystem operations like defrag or even error checking.

Anyone?

I just now tried this, there is no option for a Mass Storage Device, strange, could have sworn there was. The only option that even pings my laptop as Mass Storage, is the Charge only, yet it doesn't allow me to access the SD Card.

I've also never experimented with defragging the SDHC via phone, or pulling out the card and doing it on a computer. Have you tried this yet, putting it on an adapter and trying to defrag it from there? (Given that you need to remove the cover to access the card, this wouldn't be a feasible option...)

Only options we seem to have are:
Charge only
Media device (MTP)
Camera (PTP)
Share mobile network
Install driver

faster card will speed some things up, when you first turn on the phone and it does that scanning thing that will be slightly faster, also media and apps that are on the sd will run faster. large games that store most of the data on your sd will be faster, most things though will still run at normal speed because the problem isnt all sd card, part of the problem is buildup of stuff on your data and cache partitions that causes slowdowns

now, you can clear cache, that might help a bit as well, but you will still have all the extra junk laying around in data slowing things down unless you factory reset the phone and delete all your data and apps. at that point it will work like brand new because it will essentially be like brand new
