So when my Desire arrives it will be my first Android and my first HTC handset.
My last few have all been Sony or Nokia and I always synch my contacts with Outlook 2007.

Based on other HTC/Android devices does anyone know ifl the Desire be able to do this?
If so will it be able out of the box or will I need an application?

    Cheers

Unfortunately, HTCSync still doesn't sync tasks or notes.

I only had the option to sync contacts and calendar when I synced with Outlook on my PC. You're obviously better off with a Mac in this case.

Liking the new Synch software - but unlike the old PC Suite for Nokia, you cannot choose sub folders.
I have thousands of contacts in Outlook and I only want specific ones on my phone. PC Suite used to let you choose a sub folder (e.g. contacts/phone contacts)... with HTC Sync it is all or nothing.
I did e-mail them and they said that there were no plans to introduce sub-folders, but my request would be passed onto the developers.
I am relying on exporting from Outlook and importing into GMail - not ideal.
