Im leaning towards updating to the EVO 3D when it comes out. But i have two brand new extending batteries from Sprint that are still in the plastic. Does anyone know if the 3d and original evo will have the same batteries?

I don't see why it wouldn't. Are there any handsets that currently restrict this?

There isn't a such thing as a "4G battery." Secondly, the 3D is designed differently than the EVO 4G, specifically around the battery area because the 3D doesn't use a kickstand. Extended batteries purchased for the EVO 4G won't work with the 3D due to battery shape/size.
