Will HTC EVO 4G work in Europe?

    Hi can you help me guys? I would like to buy this phone but i am living in Ireland, can you help me and tell some information about this phone like does it have SIM card slot? Does it support GSM? because i heard that it is working on CDMA but i do not really know much about this thing...and if it will work with GSM SIM card will it be ok with mobile internet like 3G HSDPA or EDGE?

    No, it does not have nor support GSM. Thus, it is mostly useless as an international phone.

    It does not support GSM. The "phone" part will only work in countries that use CDMA. There is no SIM card.

    Quite a few... Do a search for CDMA providers worldwide and you should be able to find a list. Nowhere near as many that use GSM though

    but i don't think this is true because it shows trials as well so many blue countries is still on GSM, like Ireland is blue color (CDMA country) but it isn't.

    Interesting map. I note that if you drill down a bit, it shows that Ireland will have a CDMA carrier, "TBD". There are quite a few of those countries.

    Yeah looks like someone is working on CDMA in Ireland but at 450 MHz. We are at 1900 MHz so they aren't interoperable

    Sprint's website lists the countries that use GSM, CDMA and both. Its under the international traveling section.
