Will updating firmware via Kies Lock my Unlocked Galaxy Mega?

Hi,

I need an answer as quick as possible...please..

I have an AT&T Samsun Galaxy Mega which is unlocked for use with MetroPCS (has MetroPCS sim card)

If I update firmware, or any kind of updates, via Kies, will this Lock my unlocked phone?

Please can anyone help me? I really want to do the firmware update but I want to make sure it is not going to lock my unlocked phone if I do so.

Hi Equinista, and welcome to Android Forums

It is my understanding that SIM-unlocking a device (to be able to use an AT&T phone with a Metro PCS SIM) is permanent. Installing an OS update (either OTA or via Kies) shouldn't cause any problems for you.
