As the title states, does Verizon plan on using SIM cards for their 4G phones and network? or do they still plan on having everything built into the phone? (I assume ATT will continue to use SIMS for 4G) Also, If I recall corectly, on my (3G) plan, I can use any CDMA tower in the United States without any charges. For example: last year on my trip to the grand canyon I was in a "Roaming Zone", but since I was still in the US it was all good . Im guessing I was using Sprint's CDMA towers. Will this apply to 4G? I Verizion and ATT are going with 4G, so would we be able to use ATT's LTE towers in the US? EDIT: I just read this, so it looks like the answer may be yes to both questions: http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/18/verizons-lte-rollout-is-imminent-computers-updated-for-4g-sim/ But I would like to know if anything official has been said.
