Help Will we get update notifications with Froyo?

With 2.1, I used to get Notifications when an update was available to an app I had installed. Haven't had any since the 2.2 update.

Does Froyo not notify for this, or is there somewhere to switch it on or off?

I have been getting them daily of apps that need updated.

I have never gotten a notification about app updates ever since I've had the phone. It's very frustrating and no one knows why.
