Help will Wildfire S get an update ?

will Wildfire S get an update to IceCream Sandwich ? or even at least Gingerbread 2.3.5 ?

2.3.3 is so battery draining and buggy that it defo needs updating.

I would almost definitely rule out ICS, 2.3.5 might be a possibility. We might get some bug fixes etc, but as this is a budget handset, I don't think HTC will invest much time in it I'm afraid.

Your best bet for these fixes is a custom ROM.

i may buy a new phone before or just after christmas as i want something with a little more oomph, i have to say i really like the look and size of the Samsung Galaxy Note.

I'm "lucky" in that the Wildfire S is just my work phone so I can put up with the bugs and poor battery as there's no chance I'll be rooting etc.

The note appeals to me too, the Nexus Prime is also another one I'll be keeping an eye on. I'm not due an upgrade on my personal handset till April so there'll probably be a swathe of new handsets out by then anyway.
