EDIT: Going through the sticky in the forum.. Don't know how I missed that

    Hi :)
    First post around here.

Well got my first Android phone on Monday (samsung galaxy s), got it used from eBay and so far so good... well

The phone was locked to 3 mobile so I had to unlock it, used YouTube - ‪Unlock Samsung Galaxy S from stock Android 2.2 Froyo‬‏ to unlock it.

So it has been in developer mode, since unlocking and have used it with my PC a few times. By dragging down the notifications screen and clicking mount

Since then I have installed a few apps such as GO Launcher E and set that up. When I tried to plug it in earlier Windows wasn't recognising it.. tried a diff USB port, restart phone, restarted pc, uninstalled the Samsung software (can't think of name) ... no luck

Using W7 home premium 64bit, rather annoying!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Oli

Switch to usb mode like u said then open computer to see if it is active in computer usb. If not try another usb as you probably removed last session b4 safe removal tool.

Tried a couple of USB ports and nothing... it does show in device manager but just as a unknown device...
