Of course, MS achieved 2nd place with a market share of just 5.4%, but India is already the world's 3rd largest smartphone market and is growing rapidly .. though that growth is largely (like 90% according to the stats) driven by landfill droids that you can pick up for like 10 bucks (according to a colleague who just got back from there with a $40 tablet and an $8 full feature phone).
