    Hello,

I am working on a solution on a device running Android 7.0. The device has a wired Ethernet connection and needs to access the internet via a proxy server. I have checked all settings and cannot find where to configure the proxy settings for Ethernet as there is no such option in the advanced settings.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    1. Open your Android's Settings.
    2. Tap Wi-Fi.
    3. Tap and hold the Wi-Fi network name.
    4. Select Modify Network.
    5. Click Advanced Options.
    6. Tap Manual.
    7. Change your proxy's settings. Enter the hostname and proxy port (e.g. us.smartproxy.com:10101). You can find the full list on your dashboard.
    8. Tap Save.
I hope it worked on your android device because now all android developers change their view of the android system. residentialip.net helped me a lot n understanding what is a proxy and which one to choose in my job.
