Wirefly chat support guy says my trial starts today. Should it be so?

I ordered sprint phone from amazon last year and my trial started the day I received and activated the device. I got a new line from wirefly, and my status changed to 'approved' today. So I chatted with them, and the support guy says my trial already started since they activated the device today. The device has not even been shipped out yet, and I would get it through regular fedex delivery, so that may be another 4-5 days, and my trial has already started??? WTF? This was some dude from India, who seemed to know absolutely nothing about what is happening, so I dont know if I should trust what he said or not. Does anyone here knows if wirefly starts their trial even before shipping out the device?

More than the trial start date, I am worried about wirefly's customer service. My experience from multiple chats in past three days has been the most frustrating experience with any kind of customer service ever. I ask them some question, and the guy responds something entirely irrelevant. If someone from Wirefly reads this, please please teach your CS reps some of Wirefly's rules and policies. I know you sell your devices cheaper, but it should be no excuse to force your customers to face some idiot CS reps who can't understand what I am asking even after repeating my question in different sentences 4 times. Sorry for the rant, but I had to take it out.

Are you talking about the 30 day trial? If so, it starts the day the phone is activated on the account. It has nothing to do with the company selling the phone, it has to do with Sprint. Sprint only allows customers 30 days from the day the phone is activted to cancel a contract/return a phone.

Welcome to the world of CSR's.

I think you will be able to make the point that the trial starts on the day you receive the activated phone is the day is starts.

I think that is even what their return policy states. (I'm too lazy to read it again.)

Yes I am talking about the 30 day trial. I also know it is something from Sprint, and not company selling it. I am just irritated that if trial starts today and I receive my phone 5 days later, I get 25 days of trial instead of 30, which is not fair. What I am mad is their CSRs who know how to navigate their computer for customers account but dont know much of the wirefly's policies. Worse still, they keep giving dumb answers without transferring to someone who might know better.

Wirefly's trial/ refund dates are 14 days only iirc. Contract with Sprint is the 30 day grace period.

You have to ask youself, is it going to take 30-days to know if you like the phone? I get it, but you'll know pretty quick.

I already know that I would like the phone. Its more about the service from Sprint. And although it wont take me 25 days to know if I like it or now, but what if wirefly starts their 14 days clock from today. Then by the time I receive the phone, I would have about 10 days to decide, which I think are not enough for me to visit my neighborhood and check the service. I asked this question from the wirefly CSR, but he kept answering me I have 14 days to test, but never telling when these 14 days starts, because he himself probably didn't know. This is why I am little mad..

I don't wanna start a fight, but I do agree. Wirefly customer support stinks. It's kind of like Walmart, everything is cheaper... but the associates aren't that knowledgeable.

Walmart employees always know where stuff is. Thats what they're paid to know. I've never had a problem asking "Where is the cereal" or "I need a flower vase, where are those?" I'm always pointed to exactly where I need to go. If you think they're going to tell you which laptop to buy, well, thats just hilarious.

Then you have a nicer Walmart than I do. I'm in NY, where are you from?
