After you do "adb connect" it will connect, then dump you back to a system prompt. From there just type adb shell and it should connect.

I've just downloaded adbWireless. I turn it on and it tells me from my computer to run 'adb connect 192.168.0.3:5555'. How do I do this? I've tried typing it into the run program in windows7, typing it at the command prompt and also into the address bar of my web browser but nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

No. Just looked at installing the Android SDK and it seems very complicated.
