Ok, so I finally figured out the mounting and unmounting to get info to and from my Captivate, but I swear on my life that when I very first set up my wireless connection to my home network, it prompted me something about a media player, or maybe it was when I was using USB... GAH.

Anyway, my question is: is the mass storage option the only way I have to get files to and from my STOCK (eg. not rooted) phone? I swear that I thought I saw my phone on my network one time...

It is my friend; I have it bookmarked and that page is open as we speak. I guess what I meant was: should my phone show up as a device on my network, because it is not. I thought I would be able to access it like any other device on my network through Media Center...

    TIA

Not automatically. You need something that will make it an SMB client/server. See the last paragraph under the Wifi section on that page.
