I got my DINC rooted last night and got wireless tether working on my computer and my iTouch, so today i went to my sisters house she has a stock DINC, I turned on my wireless tether, turned on her wifi, it does not find anything but her home wifi. I tried to manually input my SSID and still nothing.

    What could be the problem?

You were trying to create an 'Ad-Hoc' (or computer to computer) network. This will work for computers and devices that can see Ad-Hoc networks, but I don't think the Incredible can see an Ad-Hoc network. The Incredible can see normal infrastructure networks like your home networks, etc.

    I hope that made sense

Interesting. I wonder if the dInc can be configured to broadcast in infrastructure mode.

I'm not sure, but I think the wi-fi hotspot application does broadcast in infrastructure mode. I'm not going to test it because I am NOT going to pay Verizon for something I can do for free.
