Or would I need to plug it into my computer. Because I am not able to do that at the moment so I was hoping it would just Update right on my fire.

It should update via wifi just as the other 2 updates did.

For update 6.2 my fire didn't update automatically but all I.did.was.tap the gear Icon then tapped the sync Icon and it.initiated the update.

My Fire automatically updated today to v6.2.1. I can now delete items from the carrousel. Of course, new stuff reappears on the carrousel as soon as I open an app, book, web page, etc. Off to explore any other new changes...

I do not mind things showing up on there, but as it is every single book I have ever read is on there and that is a real pain. So I hope I can remove things off that shelf and have what I want on there, even a simple cloud/device option.

I like your idea of the cloud/device option for the carrousel. That would seem like a nice alternative to having to delete the ones you have read or don't care to see anymore. The clutter on the carrousel makes it near impossible to be useful. I end up putting the books I am currently reading in my favorites just so I don't have to hunt for them.

You should submit your idea to Amazon via the feedback option. I'll do the same and maybe if enough peeps request it they may be able to work it in on an update at some point.

did anyone notice any other changes? Amazon said the browser would be faster, but I have not really played with it to see. It seems like a good update just nothing too special. I would like to see that much needed update to fix the Netflix app.
