Wont connect with pc

Im still learing things about this phone so bare with me. I rooted the phone and in the past few days i have been able to connect to the pc for this morning for some reason my pc cant find my phone. So what am i doing wrong?

Can't say for sure without a lot more information, but I have noticed that some applications can interfere and work once but then require a reboot (on the PC) to see the device again. This happened with doubleTwist for me for some reason -- the minute I killed the app (in task manager) stuff started popping up all over .
